This Soft Tissue Dysfunction and Injury online training course taught by Brighton Holistics Online is comprehensive. Soft tissue dysfunction is common following sprain/strain type injuries, with muscle spasm, postural syndromes, from repetitive use, or after improper tissue healing.

There is evidence that the importance of these tissues, particularly fascia, may be underappreciated and the effects it has on our bodies. During this course, we will look at the pathology and the effects dysfunction has on the body. This is a great course for any massage therapist, as it gives you a number of extra tools to use in your massage therapy.

Upon booking this course you will be able to download a comprehensive manual which will be a handy revision and reference tool.

During the course you will cover the following topics:

  • Dysfunction of the spine,
  • Dysfunction of the pelvis and hip,
  • Dysfunction of the shoulder,
  • Dysfunction of the knee,
  • Dysfunction of the ankle and foot,
  • Dysfunction of the elbow, wrist and hand.

Qualification gained:

Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). Certificate in Soft Tissue Dysfunction & Injury.

This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). This course has been awarded 10 CPD points.

Learning outcomes & evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

  • Theory knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
  • The final assessment is made up of 20 multiple choice questions you must achieve 70% to pass.

Course duration:

This course takes approximately 10 hours to complete. The course will be available to you for 12 months from the date of course confirmation. Please note that you must log in to the Learners Portal within 60 days otherwise the portal will mark your course dormant. Please see the Booking Terms and Conditions for further information. Training manuals and certifications

Brighton Holistics Online produces all its own training manuals, we don’t expect you to pay for a course and then have to pay for your training materials.

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to you once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.

Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Reflexology Diploma level 3 has been a long journey, especially due to Covid19 pandemic. Despite this, the school has been fantastic in accommodating students\' needs and in facilitating learning during the lockdown. The tutor has been professional and competent. Administration very quick to address issues and provide guidance. It is a really professional course and at the end I do feel confident to treat people and help them to enhance their wellbeing.

I have a medical background - I was curious about the course of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Oncology in a way of thinking ?''what does this treatment do'' , however after taking the course and had done ''Case Study'' for 2 patients - the result after completing these treatment for them were compelling -They recovered from their symptomatic condition - and they are waiting for me to get my diploma so that they can come back to have a regular Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment. I have done many courses through BH, the most recent being Reflexology level 3 diploma. The tutorial days are always fun, we have a laugh, which puts people at ease right away! My course was very intensive and you need a lot of motivation to get through it but the fact that the tutorial days were on weekends, suited me, I couldn't have done it otherwise. The team at BH are all very friendly and welcoming and give lots of support. They always reply to emails as quickly as possible. I would thoroughly recommend them if you are thinking of taking a holistic therapy course. I am currently working towards my Indian Head Massage diploma……. who knows where it will end, I keep coming back for more!

If you had any problems during the day Jennie would be happy to explain it in more detail and also show you so that you could visualise it. The Reiki 1st Degree course was so worthwhile and enjoyable. It was great to meet like-minded, gentle and kind participants and Jon was a great tutor, open-hearted, warm and funny. As well as being given lots and lots of useful information, both theoretical and practical, the small class meant there was a lot of time for discussion and for us to have individual attunements, which were wonderful.
