As a therapist, you may come in contact with clients who are not in the best of health. Although of course, it is not the role of a therapist to diagnose, a solid knowledge of common medical terms is of great benefit.

This level 3 pathology online training course taught by Brighton Holistics Online is a very comprehensive course and has been written by therapists for the therapist. Pathology (the study of disease) is now included in all accredited complementary healthcare qualifications (level 3). No attendance is required. This course takes approximately 30 hours to complete.

  • Please note that the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) course is a training course that is mapped to the National Occupational Standard (NOS) and Core Curriculum.
  • To pass the final assessment you must achieve 70%.

Please note that this qualification is called a “Certificate”. As from 1st September 2012, the word diploma was removed from all Anatomy and Physiology and Pathology qualifications, to meet Government-approved Awarding Organisation requirements. A Level 3 Certificate is now the recognised qualification and the industry standard.

What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation means that the course we provide has been independently and externally assessed, ensuring they meet the highest standards, the National Occupation Standards, and the Core Curriculum. The accreditation is an ongoing process ensuring that courses are always up to date and that the tutors meet the modality’s requirements for teaching.

Learning outcomes & evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show the achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

  • Theory knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
  • The final assessment is made up of 80 multiple choice questions you must achieve 70% to pass.

No attendance is needed to complete this course.

Training manuals and certifications

Brighton Holistics Online produces all its own training manuals, we don’t expect you to pay for a course and then have to pay for your training materials.

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to you once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.

Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Reflexology Diploma level 3 has been a long journey, especially due to Covid19 pandemic. Despite this, the school has been fantastic in accommodating students\' needs and in facilitating learning during the lockdown. The tutor has been professional and competent. Administration very quick to address issues and provide guidance. It is a really professional course and at the end I do feel confident to treat people and help them to enhance their wellbeing.

I have a medical background - I was curious about the course of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Oncology in a way of thinking ?''what does this treatment do'' , however after taking the course and had done ''Case Study'' for 2 patients - the result after completing these treatment for them were compelling -They recovered from their symptomatic condition - and they are waiting for me to get my diploma so that they can come back to have a regular Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment. I have done many courses through BH, the most recent being Reflexology level 3 diploma. The tutorial days are always fun, we have a laugh, which puts people at ease right away! My course was very intensive and you need a lot of motivation to get through it but the fact that the tutorial days were on weekends, suited me, I couldn't have done it otherwise. The team at BH are all very friendly and welcoming and give lots of support. They always reply to emails as quickly as possible. I would thoroughly recommend them if you are thinking of taking a holistic therapy course. I am currently working towards my Indian Head Massage diploma……. who knows where it will end, I keep coming back for more!

I had the best time during my Level 4 Sports Massage course! The learning was effective and you could have a laugh during the day, nothing was too serious. If you had any problems during the day Jennie would be happy to explain it in more detail and also show you so that you could visualise it. Any issues I had while I was working at home I would email over and Jon would get right back to me with the answer I was looking for. I can't wait to go back for my Level 5 course!

The Reiki 1st Degree course was so worthwhile and enjoyable. It was great to meet like-minded, gentle and kind participants and Jon was a great tutor, open-hearted, warm and funny. As well as being given lots and lots of useful information, both theoretical and practical, the small class meant there was a lot of time for discussion and for us to have individual attunements, which were wonderful.
