Brighton Holistics Online are pleased to offer you the ‘Seated Acupressure Massage’ online training course.

Title: Seated Acupressure Massage Practitioner Diploma 
Accreditation: This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT).
Cost of the course: The cost of this course is £130. Inclusive of VAT.
Payment method: Payments can be made via PayPal, bank transfer or by calling the Brighton Holistics Online office on 01273 974 950. To book online, simply select an appropriate “Available Start Date” and click the add to basket button.
Duration: This is a one-day fully accredited training course. The course starts at 10.30 am and finishes at around 4.30 pm. You will study theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon. Your model will be required from 1.15 pm till 4.30 pm.
Venue:  This course is taught to you in your own home, by a tutor and by using our online education portal, offering you full training videos to support your learning.

Seated Acupressure Massage Training Course – More Details

This Seated Acupressure Massage training course taught at Brighton Holistics Online is comprehensive and practical. Seated Acupressure Massage a very popular and in-demand course, allowing you to offer a therapy with many benefits. Seated Chair Massage is also known as ‘On-Site Chair Massage’ or ‘Acupressure Massage’.

On-Site Massage, or Seated Acupressure Massage (SAM), is a combination of ancient East Asian massage techniques and more modern Western techniques. This massage has been devised specifically for dealing with the stresses and strains of the modern workplace, and to fit in with the modern working environment. The massage lasts for up to 20 minutes covering the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and head. The massage requires no oils and is performed over the clothes in a specially designed chair.

This is a must-have therapy if you are looking to do corporate work or festivals etc.

The course is taught face-to-face on Zoom and is a tutor lead online course with full training videos to support your learning.

To attend this course, you have access to Zoom and a computer with a webcam.  You will be required to have a model to work on for the afternoon session, 1.15 till around 4.30ish.

During the course, we will cover the following topics:

  • The History and Origins of On-Site Massage,
  • Choosing suitable massage chairs,
  • On-site (seated acupressure) massage techniques,
  • Acupressure points and their relevance,
  • Benefits of On-Site Massage, especially for stress relief,
  • Contraindications,
  • Aftercare.

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Diploma in Seated Acupressure Massage.

Course accreditation:

This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). This course has been awarded 10 CPD points.

What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation means that the course we provide has been independently and externally assessed, ensuring they meet the highest standards, the National Occupation Standards, and the Core Curriculum. The accreditation is an ongoing process ensuring that courses are always up to date and that the tutors meet the modality’s requirements for teaching.

Course pre-requisites:

The qualification gained from this course will only be accepted for professional practice and insurance if the learner holds the pre-requisites of a recognised accredited Level 3 or 4 Body / Sports / Swedish Massage / Aromatherapy / Beauty (level 3) qualification.

Learning outcomes & evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

  • Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
  • Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) members will need to complete six case studies; this is made up of two clients each having three treatments. If you chose not to complete case studies a CPD certificate will be issued for this course and not a Diploma certificate.

Training manuals and certifications

Brighton Holistics Online produces all its own training manuals, we don’t expect you to pay for a course and then have to pay for your training materials.

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to you once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.

Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Reflexology Diploma level 3 has been a long journey, especially due to Covid19 pandemic. Despite this, the school has been fantastic in accommodating students\' needs and in facilitating learning during the lockdown. The tutor has been professional and competent. I have done many courses through BH, the most recent being Reflexology level 3 diploma. The tutorial days are always fun, we have a laugh, which puts people at ease right away! My course was very intensive and you need a lot of motivation to get through it but the fact that the tutorial days were on weekends, suited me, I couldn't have done it otherwise. The team at BH are all very friendly and welcoming and give lots of support. They always reply to emails as quickly as possible. I would thoroughly recommend them if you are thinking of taking a holistic therapy course. I am currently working towards my Indian Head Massage diploma……. who knows where it will end, I keep coming back for more!

If you had any problems during the day Jennie would be happy to explain it in more detail and also show you so that you could visualise it. The Reiki 1st Degree course was so worthwhile and enjoyable. It was great to meet like-minded, gentle and kind participants and Jon was a great tutor, open-hearted, warm and funny.
