Brighton Holistics Online are pleased to offer you the ‘Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)’ online training course.

Title: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Practitioner Diploma 
Accreditation: This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT).
Cost of the course: The cost of this course is £130. Inclusive of VAT.

Duration: This is a one-day fully accredited training course. The course starts at 10.30 am and finishes at around 3.30 pm. You will study theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon. Your model will be required from 1.15 pm till 3.30 pm.
Venue:  This course is taught to you in your own home, by a tutor and by using our online education portal, offering you full training videos to support your learning.

It is a gentle, flowing, rhythmic treatment; from a well-being aspect, it can be applied to a wide range of physical conditions to great effect. Therefore, it can be applied as a standalone treatment.
Requirements: Learners must be over the age of 18 and meet the pre-course pre-requisites, which are shown below. To attend this course, you have access to Zoom and a computer with a webcam.

This Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) training course taught at Brighton Holistics Online is comprehensive and practical. The course is taught face-to-face on Zoom and is a tutor lead online course with full training videos to support your learning. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) has powerful cleansing, relaxing, pain-relieving and immunological effects. It is a gentle, flowing, rhythmic treatment; from a well-being aspect, it can be applied to a wide range of physical conditions to great effect. Therefore, it can be applied as a ‘standalone’ treatment.

The Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) techniques facilitate the removal of metabolic wastes, excess water, toxins, bacteria, large protein molecules, and foreign substances from tissue via the initial lymph vessels and the venous capillaries. It also relaxes the sympathetic nervous system, reduces pain, and enhances the activity of the immune system.

It is effective in the treatment of a wide variety of problems including oedema, skin disorders, headache, sinus congestion, sprains and aches, stress, digestive disorders, and before and after surgery, to remove tissue congestion and minimize scar formation. It is particularly useful as part of post-mastectomy therapy, to reduce oedema and fibrosis, and to relieve pain and tension.

Please note that Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) training course and Oncology Massage training course are the same courses.

The course is taught face-to-face on Zoom and is a tutor lead online course with full training videos to support your learning.

To attend this course, you have access to Zoom and a computer with a webcam.  You will be required to have a model to work on for the afternoon session, 1.15 till around 3.30ish.

Qualification gained:

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Diploma in Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

Course accreditation:

This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). This course has been awarded 10 CPD points.

What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation means that the course we provide has been independently and externally assessed, ensuring they meet the highest standards, the National Occupation Standards, and the Core Curriculum. The accreditation is an ongoing process ensuring that courses are always up to date and that the tutors meet the modality’s requirements for teaching.

Course pre-requisites:

The qualification gained from this course will only be accepted for professional practice and insurance if the learner holds the pre-requisites of a recognised accredited Level 3 or 4 Body / Sports / Swedish Massage / Aromatherapy / Beauty (level 3) qualification.

Learning outcomes & evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

  • Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
  • All learners for this course will need to complete six case studies; this is made up of two clients each having three treatments.
  • Please note case studies must be completed for this course. Brighton Holistics Online will not issue a CPD certificate for this course.

Additional course information

We are often asked why our course is a one day when at several other training schools, the Manual Lymphatic Drainage course is completed over two days. The reason for this is that we utilise our online learning portal for you to cover some of the theory at home out of the classroom environment, thus keeping the cost of the course down.

Training manuals and certifications

Brighton Holistics Online produces all its own training manuals, we don’t expect you to pay for a course and then have to pay for your training materials.

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to you once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.

Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Reflexology Diploma level 3 has been a long journey, especially due to Covid19 pandemic. Despite this, the school has been fantastic in accommodating students\' needs and in facilitating learning during the lockdown. The tutor has been professional and competent. I have done many courses through BH, the most recent being Reflexology level 3 diploma. The tutorial days are always fun, we have a laugh, which puts people at ease right away! My course was very intensive and you need a lot of motivation to get through it but the fact that the tutorial days were on weekends, suited me, I couldn't have done it otherwise. The team at BH are all very friendly and welcoming and give lots of support. They always reply to emails as quickly as possible. I would thoroughly recommend them if you are thinking of taking a holistic therapy course. I am currently working towards my Indian Head Massage diploma……. who knows where it will end, I keep coming back for more!

If you had any problems during the day Jennie would be happy to explain it in more detail and also show you so that you could visualise it.
